Paul Bradley MSc, CEng, FIMMM, CMgr, MCMI. Following 28 years of working as a Mechanical Engineer in the UK underground coal mining industry, (holding senior mine management positions); I joined the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) in 2008 as HM Principal Inspector of Mechanical Engineering in the Hazardous Industries Sector.
The Health and Safety Executive is the UK’s Independent Regulator.
I am currently HSE’s Energy Division Head of Operations and part of Energy Division’s Senior Leadership Team with overall responsibility for Mines and Quarries. Offshore and Onshore Well Engineering Operations and Diving Operations,
I joined the Institute of Mining Electrical and Mining Mechanical Engineers in 1981 until its merger with the Midland Institute of Mining Engineers and have been an active member ever since. I am a past President of the Midland Institute of Mining Engineers and have served as a council member for the past 10 years and I am an active member of the Mining Technology Division Board and an accredited assessor on the assessment committee.
